About Walls

Here's a quote from Pope Francis' book, "Life" about the fall of the Berlin wall: "But there are many walls around the world, probably less famous. Where there is a wall, there is a closed heart; where there is a wall, there is the suffering of a brother and a sister who cannot cross it; where there is a wall, there's a division between peoples, and that is not good for the future of humankind. And if we are divided, friendship and solidarity are absent...We must love our neighbors unconditionally, without limits of any kind, going beyond the walls of selfishness and personal or national nterests. It is necessary to break the barriers of ideology, which amplify hate and intolerance."

May his words carry us forward to a better future.
